PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin processor having small-size construction while maintaining coin processing performance. SOLUTION: The coin processor comprises a customer service wall 101A, a back wall 101B opposed to the customer service wall a preset length apart therefrom, an identification part 13 for identifying at least types of coins to be treated when being carried, a distribution part 14 having distribution pawls 60A-E for distributing predetermined types of allocated coins out of the coins identified by the identification part, and a plurality of hoppers 104A-D for storing the coins distributed by the distribution pawls and releasing the stored coins when paid. The plurality of hoppers having release ports 126A-D formed to release the stored coins to the direction of the lengths are arranged in the direction of the lengths in such a manner as to be layered in the vertical direction of the device.
