PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DAB(digital audio broadcasting) receiver that can quickly display an ensemble label at start of reception. SOLUTION: A transmission station ID and an ensemble label are made to correspond to each other and stored into a memory. In the case of newly receiving a broadcast wave, a TII(transmitter identification information) is extracted from a transmission frame to obtain a transmission station ID, the ensemble label corresponding to the transmission station ID is extracted from the memory and quickly displayed on a display device. Only when the memory includes no transmission station ID obtained from the TII of the transmission frame, the transmission frame is interpreted and the ensemble label is acquired.
