PURPOSE: A portable infrared transmitter and an earphone are provided to have small volume and low power consumption quantity by using an infrared ray. CONSTITUTION: A body(111) electrically connects with an auxiliary device(113) through a wire. The auxiliary device(113) has an optical transmitter(141) for converting an electric signal transmitted from the body(111) into an infrared signal and radiating the infrared signal to air, and a microphone(151) for converting a voice inputted by a user into an electric signal and transmitting the converted electric signal to the body(111). The body(111) includes a controller(121) for receiving a voice signal from a communication terminal, amplifying and modulating the received voice signal to transmit the modulated voice signal to the optical transmitter(141), and amplifying the signal outputted from the microphone(151) to transmit the amplified signal to the communication terminal, and a charging battery(131) for operating the controller(121).
