PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage converter which basically attains its function at a low cost by eliminating what is useless. SOLUTION: This voltage converter has a closed loop serially connecting a winding n1 of an inductor L having two sets of winding with a rectifier element D1, capacitors C1 and C2, a rectifier element D2, a winding n2, a negative pole DC power supply, and a positive DC power supply, and has a circuit to derive a load from both sides of each capacitor, and/or from the positive side terminal and the negative side terminal of the cascade-connected capacitors C1 and C2, and in a state arbitrarily combining both, by grounding the connection point between the capacitors C1 and C2. A switching element to control the output voltage by controlling energy accumulated in the inductor L by turning on-off using a prescribed means is disposed to bridge-connect one end of the winding n1 with the end having the same polarity of the other winding n2 of the inductor.
