The invention relates to a connection (42) between a stem end (22) of a gas exchange valve (1) in an internal combustion engine and a sleeve-shaped control piston (2) on a tappet (4), with at least two collets (44, 46), in the form of a shell surrounding the stem end (22), provided with a conically-narrowing section (50), running in a direction away from a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine, on the radial outer circumference surface thereof and which runs complementary to the taper angle of the internal conical section (60) of a conical clamping sleeve surrounding the collets (44, 46). The conical clamping sleeve and the collets (44, 46) may be axially tensioned against each other and the radial inner circumference surface of the collets (44, 46) and the radial outer circumference surface of the stem end (22) of the gas exchange valve (1) are provided with projections (70) and recesses (72) which engage with each other. According to the invention, the conical clamping sleeve is formed by the control piston (2), whereby the control piston (2) and the collets (44, 46) comprise threaded sections (52, 62) which may be screwed into each other. |
