<p>Rechargeable lithium or lithium-ion electrochemical cells having unmodified natural or synthetic graphite anodes in contact with propylene carbonate or butylene carbonate electrolyte solvent are enabled by the addition of tetra- or pentafluorobenzenes having electron-donating substituents on the ring. Both reversible fraction and cycle life are favorably affected.</p> |
