The cooking device has hob (1) with at least one cooking zone, its heat output adjusted via a receiver (5,6) in communication with a transmitter (8,9) mounted on a cooking pan (3) provided with at least one sensor (7) for a cooking parameter, e.g. the temperature, pressure, or cooking noise. A redundant transmission path (10) with at least 2 different physical channels (11,12) is used.
