A dispersion of ultrafine titanium particles which is produced by burning a gaseous mixture of oxygen and hydrogen in high-pressure water, melting titanium metal with the combustion gas, causing the molten titanium to collide against the high-pressure water, and dispersing the resultant ultrafine titanium particles into water. The dispersion is effective in restoring the hair.
