ferrous metallurgy, namely, rolled stock production, preferably rolling merchant round large-diameter shapes. SUBSTANCE: method is designed for rolling round shapes with diameter up to 200 mm. Method comprises steps of rolling blank in prefinal oval grooved-roll pass; then rolling it successively in two final round groove-roll passes; rolling blank between rough rolls with more powerful driving motor in first final pass and rolling blank between final rolls with less powerful driving motor in second final pass. Invention provides unloading of motor of final rolling stand, additional control of shape size, additional hot straightening of rolled pieces. EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities at rolling heavy bars, rails, beams, round large-diameter shapes. 5 dwg
