The invention relates to a method for producing mineral wool, whereby a cracking catalyst having an aluminium oxide content of at least 35 wt % is used as a base material or aggregate. Said catalyst materials produce waste products which are difficult to eliminate in the chemical industry and which can be reused in the production of mineral fibres and can be used in an economical and resource sparing manner. |
