Testing of acoustic wave source propagating in liquid medium involves detecting change in intensity of transmitted light passed through liquid medium perpendicular to propagation direction

The method involves detecting a pressure-dependent change in the optical characteristics of the liquid medium. Light is passed through the liquid medium in a direction perpendicular to the direction of propagation of the acoustic waves and the change in the intensity of the transmitted light is detected. AN Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for testing source of acoustic waves.
