Production of a polyolefin resin composition containing an inorganic filler comprises a continuous series of steps, from an olefin polymerization step to a kneading and pelletizing step in which the resin from the polymerization step is kneaded with the filler and other additives and pelletized. An Independent claim is also included for apparatus for producing a polyolefin resin composition containing an inorganic filler, comprising, in a continuous series, either: (a) an olefin polymerization unit and a kneading and pelletizing unit in which the resin from the polymerization unit is kneaded with the filler and other additives and pelletized; or (b) an olefin polymerization unit, a premixing unit in which the filler and other additives are added to the resin from the polymerization unit, and a tandem kneading and pelletizing unit in which the mixture from the premixing unit is kneaded and pelletized.
