The turning device uses a rotatably mounted turning wheel which has several support elements and continuously driven supply and discharge belts (6,7) for the workpieces. The turning wheel has rhythmically controlled drive which produces a rhythmic rotation of the wheel with a constant rotary direction. The turning process is monitored by a sensor (4).
