The vehicle has a hull (1) with upper and lower halves and at least one keel and drive. The hull is essentially elliptical in longitudinal section and plan view and in cross-section through the center of the longitudinal axis. The axes of the ellipse are unequal. The hull halves are symmetrical after DE 100 18 981. At least one sail arrangement (2) is mounted on the upper hull half to be folded down onto the hull or folded up as required.
