In a multi-storey garage, Fig. 1, in which cars 5 are transferred from a lift 1 to storage positions 3 by a dolley 4 provided with arms 13, Fig. 7, for raising the driven wheels of the car, the arms are moved to their operative positions by mechanism which ensures that the torque available at the arm increases as its angle of rotation from the position shown increases. Motors 31 rotate the arms through reduction gears 26 and links 17, 21, 23. The dolly is driven by motors 10 connected to wheels 9 and comprises two parts 6, 7, Fig. 3, articulated at 8. Arms 12 on the part 6 centralize the wheels 14 which are not lifted. Aligned channels in the lift and storage platforms guide the dolly. |
