The drive unit block (1) is installed inside a frame structure extending at right angles to the vehicle's longitudinal axis and in the form of at least one support frame (2) which in its turn is supported on rigid body parts such as longitudinal supports, cross members and/or the floor structure. The support frame may completely encompass the drive unit or may partially enclose it, being open at the top or bottom.
