1275654 Switchgear structure WESTING- HOUSE ELECTRIC CORP 3 Dec 1969 [31 Dec 1968] 59061/69 Heading H1N In a metal clad switchgear unit, multi-pole breaker units of various ratings and having equal distances between their poles are contained in two adjacent columns of cubicles of equal width, (21a-21d) and 21e-21g, the breakers of higher rating having associated conduction of larger vertical dimension. The cubicles being maintained at constant width enables the interconnecting phase conductors to be of a uniform length. In Fig. 1, horizontally withdrawable multiple breakers 27, 28, 29 are contained within respective breaker compartments 21 separated from bus compartments 23 by a sheet metal member 24. Riser assemblies 55 are connected to main phase bus-bars A, B, C by bus connectors 56. Contact fingers of the breakers, disconnect members engage the stab conductors 41, 43, 45 and the feeder conductors 42, 44, 46. |
