发明名称 MACHINE FOR SHAPING GEARS
摘要 1275010 Gear-shaping machine GLEASON WORKS 4 Dec 1970 [13 March 1970] 57771/70 Heading B3L A gear-shaping machine 20, Fig. 2, comprises a base 22, a housing 24 slidable on the base along a keyway 42, a work holder 30 rotatable about an axis 44, a tool holder 26 on which is mounted a rack-shaped tool 28 reciprocable in the vertical plane, and a generating train, Fig. 3, engaging both the work holder and tool holder for producing a relative generating motion therebetween. The workpieces 32 are fed to and from the machine by conveyers 36, 38, Fig. 1, and moved into and out of the work holder 30 by a turret 34. The work spindle has a ring gear 50, Fig. 3, thereon, which is rotated along with work holder 30 by a gear drive 46, which drive also rotates the lead screw 72 for feeding housing 24 along keyway 42. Gear drive 46 is driven by an hydraulic motor 76 which is supplied by a pump 80 connected to an electric motor 84 by a belt drive 82. The operation of the pump is controlled by a servo-mechanism 86. The effect of rotation of lead screw 72 on the movement of housing 24 along keyway 42 can be varied at preselected times by moving nut 74, Fig. 3, axially. This movement is produced by a cam 130, which when a clutch 128 is engaged moves a wedge assembly 132. Tool holder 26 is moved along axis 40, Figs. 1, 2, so as to feed or withdraw tool 28 by a cam 101, Figs. 3, 6, which pivots a lever 168 about a pivot point 170, the lever being connected to a yoke 162 on the tool holder. Tool holder 26 can also be moved bodily axially during generation of an oversize tooth on the workpiece, by a cam 190, Figs. 5 and 6, which moves a bracket 196 back and forth so that an adjustable actuator 198 on the bracket operates a bell-crank structure 202 connected to the yoke 162 on tool holder 26. Tool slide 222, Figs. 3, 7, 8, is reciprocated in the vertical direction by a motor 224, Fig. 3, connected to a drive shaft 228 by a belt drive 226, the drive shaft being adapted to be adjustably connected to slide 222 by a rod 230, Figs. 7, 8. The stroke of the slide 222 is varied by moving a serrated member 236 relative to a serrated cam 238. Cutting action only takes place on the downward stroke of slide 222. Slide 222 is pivoted at 229, and tool 28 along with the slide is therefore pivoted into and away from engagement with the workpiece by a cam 246, Figs. 7, 8, which cam engages rollers 254, 256, carried by the tool housing 223, cam 246 being moved vertically by cam 238. To enable tool 28 to be operated at high speeds, slide 222 has counterbalancing weights (266), (268), Fig. 10 (not shown). Workholder 30 is tilted into the machining position by a piston and cylinder arrangement 288, 290, Fig. 1. Tool 28 is reciprocated vertically relative to holder 26 by crank 230, it is moved with the holder along axis 40 by cam 101, it is moved with housing 24 along keyway 42 by lead screw 72, this movement being varied if required by the use of wedge assembly 132, it can be moved bodily during generation by cam 190, and is pivoted by cam 146.
