<p>In a communication system (100), a method and apparatus provide for efficient power control between base station (101) and mobile stations (102-104). A controller is configured for determining duty cycle of a communication channel, and for controlling power level of the communication channel based on the determined duty cycle. The controller may compare the determined duty cycle against a duty cycle threshold. An adjustment for controlling power level may be based on the comparison.</p> |
