The chuck (1) has a body which is made of a non-magnetic or low-magnetism steel with a high coefficient of thermal expansion (greater than 12 mu m/mK). A component made of a ferromagnetic material which can be heated inductively can be attached to and released from the clamping sector (11) of the chuck body.
