PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an electrolysis apparatus for treating the surface of a steel plate with a coagulative electrolyte, in an electrolytic acid-cleaning apparatus for the steel plate. SOLUTION: The electrolysis apparatus comprises an electrolytic cell for immersing the steel plate in the coagulative electrolyte and electrolyzing the surface of the steel plate, a circulation tank for circulating and supplying the above coagulative electrolyte to the electrolytic cell, a piping arranged in the circulation tank, for heating the above coagulative electrolyte as needed, by passing a heating medium therein, and a piping arranged in the circulation tank, for cooling the above coagulative electrolyte as needed, by passing a cooling medium therein.
