PURPOSE: A CID(Calling Identification) method and system using a wireless Internet is provided to add a calling identification transmission system before or after a terminating exchange in order to classify the data inputted to the system, to extract a calling identification and a called identification, and to transmit the extracted calling identification to the called subscriber's mobile terminal through an SMS(Short Message Service) system. CONSTITUTION: A calling identification transmission system(200) in a CID system consists of a data receiving part(400), a called subscriber number classification part(405), a called subscriber number extraction part(410), a transmission part(415), a calling identification extraction part(420), a data transmitting part(425), and a terminating D/B(430). The data receiving part(400) receives the data transmitted from a terminating exchange(130). The called subscriber number classification part(405) classifies received data into wire telephone numbers and mobile identification numbers, referring to the terminating D/B(430). The called subscriber number extraction part(410) extracts a called subscriber's wire telephone number from the classified numbers and transmits it to the transmission part(415). The transmission part(415) makes a wire connection to the called subscriber's telephone(150) using the extracted wire telephone number. The calling identification extraction part(420) extracts a calling identification from the data supplied from the data receiving part(400) and transmits it to the data transmitting part(425). The data transmitting part(425) transmits an extraction-completed calling identification to an SMS system. The terminating D/B(430) stores information for service subscribers.
