PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water catchment block arranged in a sectioning position between a roadway and a sidewalk and capable of surely discharging water into a catchment port even in the case of shooting drain flow while preventing increase in labor and costs of construction. SOLUTION: This water catchment block is provided with a flat board type block body 2 and a flashing step part 3 standing in one side part of the block body 2. In the block body 2, a catchment port 4 leading drain to a drain member 10 buried underground is opened at a road surface level of a drain passage 9, a grating supporting frame 12 supporting a grating 5 fitted in the catchment port 4 is arranged around the opening of the catchment port 4, and a catchment guiding port 15, which is opened at least in the drain directional upstream side adjacent part to the grating supporting frame 12 and communicated with the catchment port 4 below the grating supporting frame 12, is arranged. An auxiliary grating, which is protruded into the catchcment guiding port 15 to reach the opposite side for bridging the catchment guide port 15, is arranged in the grating supporting frame 12.
