PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved design vibration isolator that can have excellent damping effect on a vibrating member of a mass part. SOLUTION: An independent mass material 16 is independently and variably provided over a fixed part of a vibrating member without attachment so that it can directly and resiliently contact contacting member 12. At least one of the contact faces of the independent mass material 16 and the contacting member 12 has transplant hair 18.
