PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized control cable operation device to advance and move in parallel in the axial direction and including a length adjusting means of an armor. SOLUTION: This operation device comprises an operation member 3 to rotationally move, a movable connecting means 4 with a control cable 2 and a means 5 to convert rotating movement of the operation member 3 to movement of the connecting means 4 to advance and drive the cable 2 in parallel. The connecting means 4 has rectilinear parallel advancing movement, and the converting means of movement of the operation member includes a cam 6 to partition at least one roughly spiral cam track 16 and a cam follower 7 to cooperate with the cam track.
