PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air intake control device for an internal combustion engine which is capable of preventing the discharge of harmful substances, immediately after the engine starts, by controlling the air intake thereof. SOLUTION: This air intake control device is provided with supply parts (40, 41) for high oxygen concentration air, which is connected to an intake passage (21 to 23) and has an oxygen separation membrane 40 having oxygen permeability, a control valve 42 for the high oxygen concentration air, which can communicate or shut off an interval between the supply parts (40, 41) and the intake passage (21 to 23), and an air intake control valve 24 for shutting off the intake passage (21 to 23), during the stoppage of an internal combustion engine 1. When the engine 1 is stopped, the control valve 42 communicates with the supply parts (40, 41) with the intake passage (21 to 23), to introduce the high oxygen concentration air into the latter.
