摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coring apparatus which can take samples of soil and rock masses in a wide range such as sedimentary earth, soft rocks, and hard rocks inclusive of split ones and ones in a crush zone, at high speed and at high core recovery, based on a single system, and can take good cores without oxygen contamination thereof, and to provide a coring method using the coring apparatus. SOLUTION: The coring apparatus is formed of a foaming-mixing device 3, an excavator 5, and a conveying means 35. The foaming-mixing device 3 generates nitrogen foam, and mixes the nitrogen foam with deaerated fresh water, to thereby produce turbid foam water with a volume ratio of nitrogen foam and deaerated fresh water ranging from 5:1 to 1:3 at a pressure of 1 atm. The excavator 5 includes a rod 40 having a bit 37 at its front end, an inner tube 43 arranged in the rod, and a packaging portion 60 arranged in the inner tube 43. The conveying means 35 squeeze-pumps the turbid foam water into the rod of the excavator. The red has a channel which transfers the squeeze-pumped turbid foam water from the interior of the rod via a gap between an inner surface of the rod and an outer surface of the inner tube 43 to the front end of the rod, and then discharges the turbid foam water to the ground along an outer surface of the rod.
