发明名称 A METHOD OF REMOVING SOLVENT FROM A SOLUTION
摘要 1,208,671. Concentration of solutions by evaporation of solvent. SIEMENS A.G. 3 Jan., 168 [4 Jan., 1967; 4 March, 1967], No. 530/68. Heading BIB. [Also in Division H1] Solvent is removed from a solution, e.g. water is removed from the electrolyte of a fuel cell, by passing the electrolyte through chamber 11 which is separated by a porous diaphragm 14 from a chamber 15 through which is flowing a carrier gas, such as hydrogen or oxygen, whereby water-vapour from the electrolyte diffuses through the diaphragm into the gas. The water-vapour condenses: on one side of porous member 17 which is cooled by coolant fluid flowing through chamber 18 on the opposite side of member 17. The pressure of the carrier gas forces the condensate through the pores of member 17, and it is carried away by the flow of coolant. Porous diaphragm 14 may be made of nylon or asbestos fibrous material impregnated with a water-repellent such as paraffin. Condensation member 17 may be made of sintered nickel carbonyl or porous nickel foil. Instead of a porous condensation member, there may be substituted a nickel sheet cooled by semi-conductor elements.
