PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method preventing the fluctuation of the inversion angle of a helical groove at the time of manufacturing an SZ slot for an optical cable by one extruding and coating work. SOLUTION: At the time of manufacturing the slot for which a tension member is inserted to the center and one or more helical groove is formed in an SZ direction on the outer periphery by supplying a metal wire 11 to be the tension member to the crosshead die 17 of an extruder 16 and extruding and coating fused resin on it, the temperature of the metal wire 11 supplied to the crosshead die 17 is turned to be >=0 deg.C and <30 deg.C.
