PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for drying a slurry-like or solution-like material by which the substantial operation rate of the drying apparatus is improved, the generation of defective products is decreased and the production of dried powder is increased, and to provide a method of manufacturing a ceramic sintered compact to obtain the ceramic sintered compact having excellent quality by molding and sintering the dried powder manufacturing in this way. SOLUTION: A drying apparatus 30 is provided with a detector 5a for detecting the temperature of an exhaust gas O in the vicinity of an exhaust port 50 while a feed gas is being fed from a gas feed port 20 and a control part 8 for controlling, before a material M is supplied, the quantity of water C supplied from a charging port 10 corresponding to the fluctuation of the detected value. The dried powder G obtained from a take-out port 40 has an almost fixed average particle diameter and a stable water content. |
