PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rock drill support mechanism which facilitates maintenance inspection of a revolving mechanism of a rock drill mounted on a carriage, without using a crane, etc. SOLUTION: The rock drill support mechanism is constructed in the following manner. The hydraulic rock drill 4 is mounted on the carriage 3 which provides feed to the hydraulic rock drill 4 by reciprocatively moving on a guide shell 2. Brackets 6F, 6B are arranged on the carriage 3, which pivotally mount thereon support legs 5BL, 5FL of the hydraulic rock drill 4 by means of revolving shafts 7BL, 7FL, respectively, which are parallel with a drilling axis X1 . Further, the support mechanism is comprised of stopper portions 3S, 5S for stopping the hydraulic rock drill 4 at a maintenance inspection position when it is rotated from a drilling position. The revolving shafts 7BL, 7FL function as fastening bolts for fixing the hydraulic rock drill 4 to the carriage 3.
