PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connector that prevents eccentricity of an optical fiber as well as reduces insertion loss and that is equipped with a ferrule having a sufficient mechanical strength in spite of low cost, and also to provide a ferrule forming die for making the ferrule for this optical fiber connector and a ferrule manufacturing method using this forming die. SOLUTION: The ferrule 1 constituting the optical fiber connector 10 is characterized by the structure in which an inserting hole 3 for fixing an optical fiber 2 is formed along the axial direction of the ferrule body 4, in which a slit 6 from the outer circumferential face of the body to the inserting hole 3 is formed at the tip end of the body 4, and in which the optical fiber 2 is fixedly arranged on the bottom 6a of the slit 6.
