摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device capable of measuring a absorbing characteristic of an electromagnetic wave absorber at real temperature at high temperature or low temperature other than room temperature. SOLUTION: This device is essentially composed of a metal plate 2 for placing a sample 1 of the electromagnetic wave absorber for inspecting the characteristic; a temperature control means 3 for controlling the temperature of the metal plate to a desirable value by heating or cooling; a gain horn antenna 4 arranged so as to perpendicularly face the sample inside a free space apart from the sample; and a network analyzer 5 connected to the gain horn antenna. An anechoic chamber for housing the metal plate 2 and the gain horn antenna 4, or an electromagnetic wave absorbing wall 6 positioned in the back of at least the metal plate and having an area covering a solid angle to which electromagnetic waves are irradiated from the gain horn antenna are contained.
