PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level detection device capable of being easily subjected to a mounting and adjusting work, and being installed on any kind of tank. SOLUTION: This liquid level detection device for detecting the level of the liquid stored in a tank 2 is constituted by including a float 3 floating on the surface of the liquid, shifting vertically corresponding to the liquid level, and having a reflector 4 for reflecting a ray, and optical sensors 6a-6e adjacent to the float 3, for floodlighting a ray to the reflector 4 roughly horizontally, and receiving the reflected ray.
