PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric carpet having power-saving effect, without sacrificing comfort by controlling the surface temperature of the electric carper with the radiation heat of sunlight and room temperature. SOLUTION: In the electric carpet, a heater 2 is arranged in a carpet body 1, a temperature-control circuit 13 is incorporated into the inside, a controller 3 having a power on/off knob 4 and a temperature control knob 5 is arranged at the carpet body 1, and temperature is adjusted to one's taste by the temperature adjustment knob 5. In the electric carper, a light-receiving window 6 incorporating a photosensor 10 for detecting the brightness in the surrounding and a room-temperature sensor 11 for detecting the room temperature are provided at the controller 3, and the surface temperature of the carpet body is controlled according to the ambient temperature, in linking with the room temperature, thus conducting power-saving operation.
