PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide member for a recording medium, mountable on bases with high precision, and a recorder with the guide member. SOLUTION: The guide member comprises at least two pins 71-74 to be inserted into the bases 105-106 for fixation, at least one pin 72 of them being used for restricting the movement of the bases. The movement restricting pin can firmly fix the guide member itself to the bases and so looseness, if created between the pins except the movement restricting pin and their supporting portion, gives no bad effect thereon and the recording accuracy is further improved while maintaining the carrying accuracy of the recording medium with high precision.
