PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a track gage variable truck capable of reliably detecting that an upper surface of a locking block is incompletely attached. SOLUTION: The track gage variable truck, in which a locking block 13 having projections 17A and 17B fitted in a plurality of continuous fitting holes 18 is fitted to a journal box 4, the projections are detached from the fitting holes, the locking block is moved in the axial direction and fitted to other fitting holes to change the track gage, comprises a first slider 101 provided on the locking block and having a first conductive contact 103, a second slider 201 provided around the fitting holes and having a second conductive contact 203 at the position corresponding to the position of the first conductive contact, and a detecting means 300 for detecting the presence/absence of any contact of the first conductive contact with the second conductive contact.
