PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric wave absorbing material which shows electric wave absorbing properties and incombustibility or fire retardancy and further, is lightweight and easy to handle and work with a free color selection freedom. SOLUTION: This electric wave absorbing material is a composite ceramic material showing electric wave absorbing properties and of a laminated structure which comprises a woven or a nonwoven fabric of an inorganic fiber and a matrix composed mainly of inorganic particles and an inorganic binder to which the electric wave absorbing material is added.
