PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent inundation by using both packing and a resilient body to reduce the wear of the packing in view of the danger of inundation caused by the wear of the packing installed at a screw shaft through part of a marine vessel to prevent water leak. SOLUTION: The resilient body 3a with resilience and the packing 3 are jointly installed at a shaft tube 2 of the through part of the screw shaft 1 to prevent inundation.
