<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device, capable of preventing the display quality from deteriorating, and being driven at a low power consumption. SOLUTION: In response to activation of a 1st scanning line 5, a data-holding circuit 30 fetches video data DAT supplied to a data line 9, and holds them in a node N1. In response to activation of a 2nd scanning line 6, a potential- applying circuit 31 electrically connects either of a write reference potential supply line 7 or a common potential supply line 8, according to the potential of the node N1 to a pixel electrode Npx. In response to inactivation of the 2nd scanning line, a common potential Vcom supplied to the common potential supply line 8 and a common electrode potential VLCCOM applied to a counter electrode Ncm are set at different potentials in response to potential change occurring in the pixel electrode Npx, respectively, that is, taking into consideration field-through.</p> |
