PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reconcile steering stability, wear performance and on-snow performance in a pneumatic tire of a block pattern. SOLUTION: In an equator side block 20A in the vicinity of a tire ground center with a high contribution ratio to on-snow performance, an edge effect of a sipe 22 is enhanced because a tread side opening end of the sipe 22 is set at a position higher than a center part of a small block 20Aa and thereby on-snow performance is improved. In a shoulder side block 20B which has a high contribution ratio to steering stability and is easy to generate uneven wear, ground contact pressure on each small block 20Ba is made uniform because the tread side opening end of the sipe 22 is set at a position lower than the center part of the small block 20Ba and thereby steering stability and wear performance are improved. Therefore, steering stability, wear performance and on-snow performance can be reconciled in this pneumatic tire. |
