PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tablet detergent composition for clothes excellent in detergency, tablet strengths, and solubility (dispersibility). SOLUTION: This detergent composition contains a compound represented by formula (I) (wherein R<1> is a 7-23C hydrocarbon group; R<2> is a 1-3C alkyl group; and R<3> is a 1-6C alkylene or alkenylene group).
