PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily repair a bottom plate and side plates of an excavating bucket in a short period of time when they are worn, to thereby reduce cost required for repair. SOLUTION: There is provided a method for repairing the excavating bucket 11, according to which a bottom plate lower portion 12-L, a left plate lower portion 13-L, and a right plate lower portion 14-L which are susceptible to abrasion, etc., are cut out of a bottom plate, 12, a right plate 13, and a left plate 14, respectively, and an exchange left plate 32 and an exchange right plate 33 which are prepared beforehand are welded to the bucket 11 in place of the left plate lower portion 13-L and the right plate lower portion 14-L, respectively, to thereby obtain a repaired excavating bucket 31. Thus, a conventional technique, i.e., working of an exchange steel plate, etc., carried out in parallel with positioning thereof, can be dispensed with, and therefore cost required for repair can be reduced.
