摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminumoxy compound soluble in a hydrocarbon solvent, an organometal catalytic component for olefin polymerization soluble in the hydrocarbon solvent, a catalyst for the olefin polymerization prepared by using the catalytic component, and a method for producing the olefin polymer by using the catalyst for the olefin polymerization. SOLUTION: This modified aluminumoxy compound soluble in the hydrocarbon solvent is obtained by reacting (A) an aluminumoxy compound, (B) a compound represented by ROH (R is a 6-20C aryl group having an electron-attractive group) and (C) a compound represented by R'OH (R' is a 6-20C alkyl group). The catalytic component for olefin polymerization comprising the modified aluminumoxy compound, the catalyst for the olefin polymerization prepared by bringing the modified aluminumoxy compound into contact with a transition metal compound, the catalyst for the olefin polymerization obtained by bringing the modified aluminumoxy compound into contact with the transition metal compound and an organoaluminum compound, and the method for producing the olefin polymer by using the catalyst and by homopolymerizing or copolymerizing olefins, are also provided.
