摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for convection jetting to the bottom of glass enabling control of thermal transfer coefficient applied across the transverse direction of the furnace. SOLUTION: This method for heating a glass panel in an annealing furnace comprises carrying the glass panel on the conveyer with rollers into the annealing furnace during the heating cycle period, thereafter carrying the glass panel into an annealing section, and heating the glass panel in the annealing furnace by heat radiator provided at the bottom and top in the furnace and by thermal convective bodies provided similarly at the bottom and top in the furnace so that convective air is supplied in the furnace. The bottom side of the glass panel is heated by the bottom thermal convective bodies arranged in the longitudinal direction of the furnace and forming convective heating region aligned in the transverse direction of the furnace so that the bottom heating convective effect distributes in the transverse direction.
