PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a granule group for carrying a surfactant excellent in carrying capability and granule strength; a granule group for carrying a surfactant produced thereby; and a method for producing detergent particle group by using the granule group for carrying a surfactant. SOLUTION: The method for producing a granule group for carrying a surfactant is characterized in that, when a solution or slurry containing a water-soluble polymer and a water-soluble salt is atomized and introduced into a spray- drying apparatus, a heating medium is supplied to the vicinity of the liquid outlet port of an atomizing member in order to conduct spray drying while heat is being introduced into a drying zone in the spray-drying apparatus by the heating medium. The granule group for carrying a surfactant, obtained by the production method, has a mode diameter of a micropore volume distribution (measured with a mercury porosimeter) of 1.5μm or lower, a volume of micropores with micropore diameters of 0.01-3.0μm of 0.3 mL/g, and a granule strength of 15-100 MPa. The method for producing detergent particles includes the step of mixing the granule group obtained by the above method with a liquid surfactant.
