JUNCTION STRUCTURE AND JUNCTION METHOD FOR STEEL PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a junction structure and a junction method for a steel pipe capable of extremely easily jointing even very thick steel pipes such as steel pipe piles with each other without using mechanical junction using screws or weld junction. SOLUTION: End parts of the steel pipe piles 1 and 2 are butted on each other, and a steel pipe sleeve 3 is installed in a diametrically compressed state on the outer side of their butted parts. Material and/or cross sectional form of the steel pipe sleeve 3 are selected in such a way that the steel pipe sleeve 3 is plastically deformed prior to the steel pipe piles 1 and 2.
