PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety locking mechanism with a simple structure. SOLUTION: In the mechanism, an intermediate lever 33 rotates in conjunction with opening/closing operation of a cartridge compartment cover. A locking member 81 is installed so as to freely be rotatable between a lock position locking the rotation of this intermediate lever 33 and an allowable position allowing the rotation. This locking member 81 is driven by a transmission gear 63 composing a film feeding mechanism. There are two lock positions including a film advance lock position blocking the rotation of the intermediate lever 33 by allowing a locking section 81a to face a locking cam section 33c in film advance and a rewind lock position blocking the rotation by allowing a locking section 81b to face a locking cam section 33c in rewinding. The allowable position is established between these two lock positions, where an allowable section 81c faces the intermediate lever 33 to allow its rotation. The locking member 81 is driven to the allowable position by a release spring 92.
