PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for preparing pamphlets of which the contents and the layout are different for each of them. SOLUTION: On the occasion of preparing the pamphlets of which the contents are different for each of them, the contents to be printed in the pamphlets to be prepared are determined (101) and allotted to a plurality of pages, while the layout in each page is determined (102). The contents of each page are printed on a printing medium, including paper, in conformity with the determined layout by using a plurality of printing means (103, 104). The pages for which printing is completed are gathered in a predetermined sequence (105) and the gathered pages are bound into a book in a predetermined mode (109). It is also possible to check whether the sequence of the gathered pages conforms with the predetermined sequence, by using an identifier such as a bar code printed on each page, at a time point before gathering is completed and book binding is conducted (106).
