PURPOSE: A pocket lighter is provided to be suitable for an existing lighter by controlling force according to the characteristics of a pull train, not to be influenced by the degradation of composing members, and to work without receiving wear caused by the use of a pyrophoric stone. CONSTITUTION: A pocket lighter comprises a fuel container(1), a valve(2), which regulates the opening and closing of the fuel container, having a discharge port(3) deciding a discharge height(4) in the lighter vertically standing, a pyrophoric stone(6), a rotary toothed wheel(8) producing sparks facing toward the valve when the wheel rotates toward a first direction and rubs with the pyrophoric stone and having two disk bodies(10) with end journals, and a housing for each end journal. In addition, the disk bodies perform as a rotor in a braking device in which a stator is formed by an additional member(15) rubbed against the rotor, except for a function transmitting force between fingers and the wheel. |
